Memory bank, January 21

I've read and enjoyed books that were letters (Dracula and 84, Charing Cross Road come immediately to mind).

The Power of Sympathy, considered the first American novel, was published on January 21, 1789. The book, by William Hill Brown, was an exchange of letters. I never heard of it before. I thought there'd be a Gutenberg version online (whole book, free), since this is surely in the public domain, but I haven't found one. Perhaps it's more of a novelty than anything else. First novel-ty and sympathy, in fact.
