I am working on the Hudiburgh line at present. I descend from Solomon, who was born in Tennessee and killed in western Missouri or eastern Kansas circa 1858. Solomon's grandmother was a Reno, born in Virginia. This grandmother had an aunt who found her way from the eastern United States to Industry, McDonough county, Illinois. The aunt died there in 1850 at the age of 88.
Industry township was the first one in McDonough county to be settled. The first bride in the township was Martha Vance, possibly the daughter of this great-great-aunt of my great-great-great-grandfather. I am not going to chase her down. At least not for the time being.
As far as I know, Solomon Hudiburgh never lived in Industry, Illinois, which, in spite of its vigorous name, is a very small town. Out of the dozen Reno/Reneau descendants listed in this chart, only one -- the great-great-aunt -- had an Industry connection. And yet Solomon's daughter, who was born in Indiana in 1853 and who is buried in Arkansas, married a man whose parents were Kentuckians and who are buried at Industry, McDonough county, Illinois.
