Joe Flynn, best known as Captain Binghamton in McHale's Navy, portrayed a cold-blooded killer in the "Taxi" episode of Highway Patrol. He racked up quite a score in the half-hour program, robbing a filling station operator and shooting the guy for good measure, hijacking a taxicab, killing a patrolman, hijacking a sports car and holding an elderly couple hostage. And for a fellow I associate strictly with comedy, he did a bang-up job in this show.
