Amateur hour

A few things I have learned since I started taking snapshots in earnest.

1. Take advantage of lovely light. It's especially nice in these months when the sun's angle is lower.
2. Hold the camera still. I don't use a tripod but if I can't hold the camera steady enough, I lean against something for support.
3. Fill the frame. This is the first tip I ever got from a photographer friend and I have taken it to heart for nearly 30 years.
