If I could turn back the hands of time

I would go back 50 years and have my grandmother tell me about the pictures in her album (which was a souvenir of Long Beach, California). Who are these people? Grandma was a nurse and she had a lot of photos from her student days. The backs of the photos are no help.

I find this picture charming.
