This little Easter card is elaborate for what it is. The folder is of very heavy stock and it exists to hold a calling card. Mrs. Mercer wrote a note to my grandmother on the verso. I don't know the connection that Grandma and Hattie Cash Mercer had. Probably just women whose paths had crossed. Mrs. Mercer was 15 years older than my grandmother. She died in 1938. And 75 years later, someone is thinking about her.
