We watched another episode of The Fugitive late last night, "The End Is But the Beginning." It was remarkably intense. I can't imagine how that show managed to maintain the drama week after week but the writers were up to the task. It is really one of the best things that's ever been on television.
"The End Is But the Beginning" was written by George Fass and Arthur Weiss. Mr. Fass died April 19, 1965, three months after the show aired. So I can't send him a thank-you note. Or Arthur Weiss, either, since he died in 1980.
I sincerely appreciate the quality of writing and acting on The Fugitive. We may never see its like again, but at least we can see it again.
