Resolved, That it is expedient to enquire whether any, and what reductions can be made in the civil expences of the government of the United States.I'm indexing most of these newspapers by state and town (skipping the French Canadian ones because I don't read French and I don't have any Canadian ancestry). Google isn't adding any more to the collection, which is a darned shame. I can only hope the company doesn't withdraw the archives from the Web any time soon. Somehow events seem more real when you read about them in a current newspaper, even if that paper is 210 years old.
