Google Newspaper Archives: Delaware, District of Columbia

Just a few papers in the Google Archives for these two regions. Google's archives do have representatives from all 50 states, plus a lot of Canadian papers and some from India, Scotland, England, Mexico, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.

The Library of Congress's Chronicling America has papers from Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington. Papers are occasionally added so it's worth visiting periodically even if you think you've exhausted the site's collections. The newest papers are from 1922.

The Google newspapers are all over the place for dates. I looked at one paper from Canada with a January 1784 publication date and it had the text of the treaty that ended the American Revolution.
