Been thinking about that Einstein quote concerning reports of UFO sightings:
"These people have seen something underlined."
Someone must have phoned that nugget in to UPI and meant that "something" was underlined in Einstein's note.
"These people have seen something."
With desktop publishing, underlining seems archaic, doesn't it? Bold it or italicize it for stress, things you can't do with longhand or with typewriters. (You'll notice in that link that underlining is given as a choice but the examples are italics.)
