We're watching an episode of "Hunter," that Fred Dryer-Stepfanie Kramer cop series from the 1980s. This woman, "Ava Fontaine," seems familiar. Is that Jane Russell? I ask LohMan. It was. She was 65 then, 89 now. This program was the last acting gig she did.
Here's a nifty blogpost about the oldest living Oscar nominees. Jane is mentioned, although she was never nominated.
Among the comments is one listing a bunch of actors in their 90s. Efrem Zimbalist Jr. is 91. I assume Sr. is dead.
Note: I just looked up Pere Efrem. He died in 1985, a couple of months before his 96th birthday. (I'm using the imdb.com birth year of 1889.)
