Another day in October, another birthday. A great month, even if it rains every day.Linda Darnell is the non-Jane Darwell. Jane was the good mother. Linda was the wild daughter. I think of her if I find myself pouring coffee over the side of the carafe rather than at the spout. That's the way Linda did it as the "Fallen Angel" waitress in a film noir with Dana Andrews and Alice Faye.
Linda was born October 16, 1923, in Dallas, Texas. She got into show business at an early age and was in some memorable movies. She reminds me of another dark-haired beauty, Gail Russell.
Linda Darnell died in 1965 at age 41. She was visiting a friend and was trapped when the house caught fire.
