WWND?

The Secret of the Old Clock set its hooks in me when I was about 9. In the next two years I read every Nancy Drew book I could get my hands on. Nancy had it all:
  • Endless summers. She was never in school.
  • A cushy homelife. Pop was an attorney. Mom was dead. No chores for Nancy, since the Drews had a housekeeper (and Nancy never was home anyway).
  • No money worries (see Pop).
  • Absolute freedom to have adventures with the time and means to make them happen.
  • And she had a car. A "roadster," in the versions I read. A blue roadster. What is a roadster? Obviously a very desirable automobile.
One day last week I walked by a jazzy little red car called a Boxster*. I told myself, a car for Nancy Drew! I went back later to snap a picture but the Boxster wasn't there. Instead there was a different little red Porsche, if you can believe it. I tried again another day. This time there was a red Beetle in that block.

What would Nancy drive?

Until that Boxster shows itself again, I will have to go with the VW. The Carrera is a toy Carson Drew bought for Wife Number Two.

*Wikipedia says the Boxster is a roadster, i.e., a Nancy Drew machine.
