A couple of off-beat obituaries I noticed in Iowa newspapers.
From the Fort Dodge Messenger:
SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. — Mary Katherine “Sis” Kirchner died in Sun City West, Arizona, on June 4, 2009. Email Ron at BigRonK508@msn.com for info.
From the Calhoun County Advocate:
Edwin R. Hirschberg, 88, died May 26th at his home, having lived half as long as he expected and twice as long as he should have. Ed was born October 11, 1920 to Joseph and Marie Hirschberg during a chilly autumn day, for which his mother never forgave him.
You can read a fuller obit for Sis Kirchner in the Keokuk paper. And I read the complete obit for Edwin Hirschberg in the print edition Advocate. It's very witty.
Rest in Print.
