The southbound lanes of I-35 in Clarke county, Iowa, are being ripped out and replaced. Impossible to stop and take a picture, of course, because the northbound lanes were two-way and packed. I found a video on youtube of a pavement grinder in action. The videographer had the same problem I did: Where do you stand to get your pictures? But the music is cool and you get the gist.

The resurfacing of I-35 is, what, 15 years overdue, or is it 20? Anyway, thanks, taxpayers. Your stimulus money at work! Toll roads, anyone?
