Instapundit had a link to a story about Al Sharpton being fined by the FEC. I sat there for a couple of minutes trying to think what the FEC was. Something to do with broadcasting? Sharpton is a preacher. Glenn had a clue (" the F.E.C. should still be abolished as unconstitutional"), but I preferred to dredge up government agencies from civics classes.
Let's see, there's the Interstate Commerce Commission. Interstate commerce was a linchpin of the republic, so it doesn't seem unconstitutional (and I've just learned that the ICC went out of business in 1995) . Newton Minnow. Food and Drug.
Enough brain exercise. I followed the link. Federal Elections Commission. Violations from 2004. Just now getting that issue settled.
Alphabet soup. DNA was not involved.
