Charles Vinton Anderson, a publisher of trade journals and the president of the National Trades Press Association, was elected to the Missouri General Assembly in 1908. The next year he and his wife bought a lovely home in a new development in St. Louis, Windermere Place. One hundred years later, it looks to have stood the test of time well (see #16). Poor Charles didn't. He died in 1910 as a result of typhoid fever.
Chuck Berry bought #13 Windermere Place for his family after he made good. Take a tour of #20 here. Note that terrazzo tile porch floor. Fun when wet. Note, too, the difference between the asking price and the home's "value."
And #15, "the home you deserve," is for sale, as well.
