If I had my life to live over

I would read Apartment 3-G in order for the scales to fall away from my eyes. It was practically brand-new when I first discovered it in the Kansas City Star (evening paper then) comics in 1965. It should have been influencing me since I was a senior in high school and would soon pursuing a career myself. But I just read it as another soap opera in the funnies. I never even caught Tommie's resemblance to Lucille Ball. Sticking my head in the Apartment door in 2009, I see that the Professor has gotten younger and better-looking. I wonder what the message is in that.

Must dig deeper. Hand me that shovel.
