This couple and their cohort were robbers in the "Fake Cop" episode of Highway Patrol. She'd go in a store as a customer. He'd come in and rob the clerk. Then she'd delay the clerk, run out onto the street and find a handy HP officer. The officer would take a statement from the clerk and promise that someone from headquarters would be in touch to get the particulars.
The clerks couldn't describe the phony officer later, because they only noticed his uniform and the car with the seal on the doors. Useless witnesses, anyway, since one victim said the guy pictured here was about 35. Another said the woman was about 28. I don't think so.
