Full Pink Moon

Just before I got into bed last night, I remembered that I hadn't posted about the April Full Moon. According to the Old Farmers' Almanac, the aboriginals called it that because of the sprouting of the moss pink. Other names are the Sprouting Grass, Egg and Fish moons.

This year's April Full Moon was in the news because of the lunar eclipse, which I did photograph early on Tuesday morning. Here are opening and closing shots.

This Spring being what it is (or what it isn't), the night was freezing cold. Just before we quit and came inside, there was a shooting star. This isn't a picture of that, of course. It just shows how cold my hands were. Plus, there's some pinkness!
