It's bitterly cold today. The birds can't seem to get enough to drink. The thistle seed was running low so I made a trip to town to get more. We see a lot of birds at our place and they are the "appealing" sort. Nuthatches, bluebirds, robins, woodpeckers, finches, jays, cardinals, juncos, orioles, tanagers. The town birds such as sparrows and starlings don't seem to be drawn to our neck of the woods.
We do have a problem with birds flying into our windows. We put clingers on the problem glass and they seem to help.
