The Case of the Mythical Monkeys

Greg Dunkirk is a smarmy guy who drops in on a woman whose apartment has been ransacked. She asked him if he'd done it.
Greg D: I’m a lawyer. I may break wills and contracts but hardly ever into the apartments of clients.

Perry is giving Paul Drake his early assignments in the case, including a background check on said smarmy guy.
PD: Perry, with Dunkirk's underworld connections, he's a pretty dangerous fellow to fool around with.
PM: So am I, so get going.

Perry and Paul go to Las Vegas to talk with a newly minted widow. Perry says his client, Gladys Doyle, has been charged with her husband's murder.
Widow: Gladys? Gladys Doyle?
PM: Do you know her?
Widow: Oh, no. No, I've never heard of her.

DA Burger is questioning a witness who owned the cabin where the murder occurred. The landlord was discussing the rent payment arrangements ($100 bill in the mail every month, never met the tenant in person). Burger asked him if he'd encountered this sort of deal before.
Witness said he dealt with different sorts of folks. People wanting to use my cabins as love nests, so to speak.
Burger (straightens his tie in an attempt to control the shocked look on his face): Love nests? Really? Your witness.
