Photo becomes fodder

At Quick Meme, anyone can write a caption on a photo and add it to the collection. A while back, the Rutherford B. Hayes meme was hot. This was in reference to the president disparaging Hayes' attributed initial response to the new invention, the telephone. "That's an amazing invention but who would ever want to use one?" Quick Memers responded with things like: "I took a bullet in the Civil War. You took $1 million from Bill Maher." "In 1877 telephones were the future -- And windmills were the past."

Captions for the photo of five LA deputies escorting Nakoula Bassely Nakoula to a waiting patrol car are a trending meme. Spin it however you like, the fact remains that the photo sends a message to Islamists that the authorities are dealing with a man blamed for setting off the Cairo and Libyan riots (and their copycats). Susan Rice probably has an 8x10 for her desk at the U.N.

Among the Quick Memes, a couple stood out for me. This one and this one. One more.
