The sunflower is basically all that is blooming in my yard, thanks to the drought. There is the occasional thistle and morning glory but those are random weeds. Among my intentional plantings, the sunflower is it. Fortunately I planted an extremely hardy variety, the Cinnamon Sun from Renee's Garden. Every stalk has borne a dozen or more blooms.
