We got gas this afternoon and LohMan gave me the receipt. I was figuring out our mileage and it was over 40 mpg, which is unheard of. He said that couldn't be right so I did it again. Then he said we just took 10.4 gallons. But the receipt in my hand showed 8.82 gallons. It wasn't our receipt.
Whoever filled up ahead of us paid for 8.82 gallons and also bought the $6 car wash. But he/she didn't forgot to pull the receipt with the car-wash code. No ticket, no car laundry.
In effect, the previous driver paid $4.28 a gallon for gas, instead of $3.599 ($3.799 but with a 20-cent discount if you buy the car wash).
Heckuva deal.
