A yard, not a lawn

We live on a ridge. The south half of our yard is rocky and the north half is clayey. Trees and wildflowers do fine, as do weeds and burrowing animals. This is prime time for tiny flowers. I love the violets and Spring Beauty. The symmetry and intricacy of the tiniest bloom amazes me. I seldom take a picture of a mass of flowers. I like examining the individual. The Big Picture is comprised of all the Little Pictures. Here is a dogtooth violet, helping you sneeze this spring.
