The pier at Grand Haven, Michigan, is ranked No.1 in my family. Grand Haven is my mother's hometown. My great-grandmother's ashes were scattered on the waves of Lake Michigan. A great-uncle was drowned when the Andaste sank. His body came to rest on the shore. One family member died here, another buried here.
