I am in the midst of Crossfire, which is the last Dick Francis book. It's a collaboration with his son Felix. I just finished a passage that was what I consider classic Dick Francis. The protagonist is kidnapped and left in dire straits. It's reminiscent of my two favorite Dick Francis books, Nerve and Risk, with a touch of Smokescreen. Is it in you to save your own life?
