I've included stops at a reflecting pool on my daily walks this summer. The appeal this year has been the water lilies. One variety has just recently budded. Tall stalks, big buds. I've been anticipating the opening of the buds. Really slow, it's been. And not worth the wait, at least when it's August.
But this morning, I was interested in the spent flower, the one that looks like a shower head. I tinkered with Picasa, trying to make these lilies look more interesting than they really are.
