I can't tell you how many times drivers have made left turns in front of me when I am crossing an intersection within a crosswalk and with a "WALK" light in my favor. I carry a camera with me when I walk and I am going to start taking pictures of these menaces to public safety.
There are plenty of crosswalks in mid-street in the town where I work because there are a lot of parking lots. I use those crosswalks, too, but I always wave the drivers on and wait until no one is coming to use them.
But I've had it with these left-turners who won't yield to pedestrians. The last two drivers were also using their cell phones. Grrrr.
