Francis Gary Powers, a U-2 spy pilot shot down over the Soviet Union, was released on February 10, 1962, in a prisoner exchange. I don't remember that but I do remember that summer of 1960 after he had been captured and then tried. The swell old days of the Cold War.
Powers died in a helicopter crash in 1977. He is buried at Arlington.
