Memory bank, January 23

Randolph Scott and Humphrey Bogart shared a birthday. Randy had a head start (and died 30 years after Bogart). He was born January 23, 1898, Bogey January 23, 1899 (I learn later that this is not so).

I am trying to imagine what sort of movie could have featured them both. The Caine Mutiny might have worked. Or The Petrified Forest.

Since Randolph Scott did a slew of Westerns and I cannot picture Humphrey Bogart in one, would Bogart have fit in any Scott movies? Maybe Christmas Eve, which I have never seen (or even heard of before a few minutes ago). Here's the plot:
The greedy nephew of eccentric Matilda Reid seeks to have her judged incompetent so he can administer her wealth; but she will be saved if her three long-lost adopted sons appear for a Christmas Eve reunion. Separate stories reveal Michael as a bankrupt playboy loved by loyal Ann; Mario as a seemingly shady character tangling with a Nazi war criminal in South America; Jonathan as a hard-drinking rodeo rider intent on a flirtatious social worker.
Michael was played by George Brent, Mario by George Raft and Jonathan by Randolph Scott. It's not much of a stretch to imagine Bogart as a "shady character tangling with a Nazi war criminal."

Oh, heck, this is all moot. Bogart's birthday was not January 23, 1899. It was December 25, 1899.
