I prefer to remember Veronica Hamel as Joyce Davenport, the public defender on "Hill Street Blues" (Frank Furillo's soulmate). Another claim to fame is appearing in the last cigarette ad that aired on U.S. television. It was for Virginia Slims and ran on "The Tonight Show" on January 1, 1971.
