Reports of a hostage situation at the Governor Office Building in Jeff City. It's two blocks east of the Capitol and is the former Governor Hotel. Some state agencies lease space there. I took a picture between blind slats from the Senate President Pro-Tem's office in the Capitol. Red brick building is the converted hotel. The Governor's Mansion is across the street to the north. (If I were at home, I'd crop that blind slat out but if I were at home, I wouldn't be near the scene either.)
