I think Mark Lindsay (former lead singer for Paul Revere & the Raiders) had a bigger hit with this than the songwriter did. I was a young teacher when I bought this album. Hearing the song this morning took me back to a long-ago September.
And I had a dress similar to that shirt once, too.
