Feet of clay in those Air Jordans

Yesterday I chatted with a man who retired two years ago after 37 years with the Army National Guard. He does a lot of volunteering in his free time, which is why he was in the Capitol yesterday with the Red Cross. Since I am married to a man who spent nearly 30 years with the Air National Guard, I asked this fellow questions about his service. He said it had been a blessing to him and had offered him the chance for a rewarding, worthwhile career. The conversation was a gift to me on 9/11.

And then today I read this op-ed about Michael Jordan.
