RAAM, Ma'am

Can you imagine being fit enough and inspired enough to ride a bicycle across the U.S.A., much less race? Me neither.

Time Station 32 in the 25th annual Race Across America is set up right outside my workplace. No bikers happened to come by while I happened to be at the checkpoint. It was too stinking hot to just hang around, especially since I didn't know about the event in advance.

The support wagon for Janet Christiansen was in town when I left work. She arrived about an hour later. OR maybe she arrived a few minutes before I showed up on the scene. Depends on what time zone is being used to report sign-ins. Whatever, I didn't see her.
